Presentations will cover background on why local water sources are deteriorating, various proposals to clean them up, and ways to pay for these plans.
Town Meeting articles related to Falmouth’s wastewater and drinking water will be discussed in light of local economic impact and social justice, ecological sustainability as well as climate change concerns.
Speakers include:
- Ron Zweig, a member of the town’s Water Quality Management Committee
- Earle Barnhart, representing The Green Center
- Hilde Maingay, member of Citizens for Economic and Ecological Sustainability
All three speakers are members of the Cape Cod Commission Upper Cape sub-regional Section 208 Watershed Planning Group and represent an ecologically-sound approach to understanding the use and misuse of water.
